Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Arduino is considered one of the main building blocks in Information technology communication (ICT). In this course, participants are introduced to Arduino through various hands-on activities. Students learn the use of Arduino with electronic circuits and sensors to come up with innovative ideas and products.

• Explore the range of hardware components and design your products
• Learn about sensors and different working principles
• Study the basics of electric circuits
• Arduino and its application
• Acquire problem solving, crtical thinking and, design thinking skills

• Participation certificates
• Inter-group and inter-school competitions to enhance students’ presentation/ expression skills via oral/poster presentations, filming art in science, social media contests incorporating photography or videography.
• Winners receive awards
• Opportunities to participate in national and international competitions

Duration: 4-5 practical sessions, followed by 2 months follow-up sessions

Time: 1-1.5 hours a day

Grades: Years 7, 8, 9

Number of participants: 20-25 students per session
