Qatar University honors the winners of the Student Life Awards

Qatar University (QU) organized a ceremony to honor the students who won the Student Life Awards 2021-2022, in the presence of; Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, President of Qatar University, Dr. Iman Mostafawi, Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Diab, Associate Vice President for Student Life and Services and a number of members Faculty, administrators and honored students.

Qatar University aims to celebrate students through this yearly ceremony by emphasizing the university's desire to empower students and encourage them to participate in activities and university life that enhance their educational experiences and sharpen their personal growth. As a result, the Student Affairs Sector bestowed these honorary and motivational awards on deserving male and female students who actively participate in university life.

In a speech on this occasion, Dr. Al-Derham said: “The awards represents as a powerful motivator for people to pursue a path of hard work, diligence, and activity renewal, as well as an important educational model for future generations, instilling hope, increasing confidence in their abilities, motivating them to compete creatively, and making the honoree feel appreciated. The human soul is created to adore acclaim and aspire to greater accomplishment, and determination ebbs and flows, and it requires something to keep it going. One of the reasons for humanity's advancement in science, knowledge, and other aspects of life is because of this.”

Dr. Hassan adds : " We are all confident and hopeful that these awards will fuel the spirit of competition, help to achieve its noble near and far-reaching goals, and contribute to the discovery of our students' talents and capabilities, as well as the various and multiple state institutions, particularly Qatar University, that stand behind them and will spare no effort in providing what they require in terms of support, encouragement, and appreciation, which is why I designated this day as a university occasion.”

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Diab, said: “We believe in the value of acknowledging achievements and their impact in spreading a sense of self-confidence and belief in one's ability to achieve, as we meet with you today on this occasion that has become an academic tradition at Qatar University. Positively impacting life, the institution, study, employment, and relationships in general, student extracurricular activities of all kinds are a significant component of the university student's life and an essential factor in enriching the university student's experience. In terms of academics and science.”

Dr. Diab adds: “In order to achieve Qatar University's vision of preparing distinguished graduates, the significance of these awards is in line with the university's developments and outputs, as well as an affirmation of the Student Affairs sector's role in enriching student life on campus.”

The Student Life Awards for the year 2019-2020 were awarded to: Muhammad Ahmed Idlebi and Sarah Al-Dali for the Student Leadership Award. As for the Student Clubs and Organizations Award, Moaz Omar Morsi, Aisha Rashid Al-Marri, Dana Samir Al-Qudsi, and Hanan Muhammad Al-Kaldi received the award. Volunteer work.
