More than 2,400 female students graduate from nine colleges at QU

The graduation ceremonies of nine colleges’ for female students at Qatar University (QU) were held individually. These ceremonies included College of Business and Economics - First Group and Second Group, College of Education, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, College of Law, College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy and College of Arts and Sciences - First Group, Second Group and Third Group.

The College of Business and Economics at Qatar University held a graduation ceremony for its 43rd batch of Graduate Studies, Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems (First Group) graduates in the presence of Mr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari, Director General of Qatar Fund for Development, who served as the guest of honor.

In the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Hanadi Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani, founder and chairman of Amwal, CEO of the Nasser Bin Khaled Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Injaz Qatar as guest of honor of College of Business and Economics at Qatar University, where the graduates of the departments of Accounting, Economics, Finance (Second Group) were honored. The number of female graduates in the college's second cohort reached 279.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, Director of the Ministry of Public Health's Public Health Department, was the guest of honor at Qatar University's College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, and College of Pharmacy graduation ceremony, which honored 356 female students.

His Excellency Judge, Ibrahim Saleh Al-Nisf, A judge of the Court of Cassation and a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, as guest of honor of the ceremony of The College of Sharia and Islamic Studies and the College of Law organized a joint ceremony to honor their graduates. The number of honored female graduates reached 265 from both colleges.

The College of Education at Qatar University held a graduation ceremony for 381 of its graduates from the forty-third batch of Qatar University graduates in the presence of Prof. Hissa Mohamed Sadiq, a part-time professor at Qatar University and the former dean of the college, where the graduates were honored by the dean of the college. Faculty members and officials were present.

The first batch of 206 female graduates were honored with specializations in Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Environment, Sports Sciences, English, and Arabic in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, as guest of honor of the College of Arts and Sciences graduation ceremony.

While the second batch included graduates in the following disciplines: (History, Sociology, Social Work and Psychology). The total number of female graduates reached 300. In the presence of Dr. Aisha Yusuf Omar al-Mannai is Director of Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Thani Center for Muslim Contribution to Civilization at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS), Hamad bin Khalifa University, as guest of honor.

In the presence of Fatima Al-Rumaihi, CEO of Doha Media Corporation, guest of honor of the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University; today the college organized the third batch ceremony to honor its graduates for the 43rd batch, class (2020), in specializations: (media, international affairs and politics). The total number of female graduates in this ceremony was 381.

As QU graduates its 43rd cohort of graduates, the university continues to chronicle a long history spanning decades in which it contributes heavily to Qatar’s development and prosperity, through boosting the labor market with qualified graduates.
